CROUCH SINGLES OUT LEEDS WINGER

BT Sports pundit Peter Crouch has singled out Leeds United winger Jack Harrison for praise during the 7-0 thrashing given to his team by Premier League champions Manchester City when the two teams met at the Etihad Stadium earlier this week.

An injury-hit Leeds United squad suffered at the hands of the holders as they conceded seven goals without any reply. Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa had suffered his heaviest defeat as a manager at the end of the league clash with hosts Manchester City.

In his post-match analysis at the end of the Premier League encounter between Manchester City and Leeds United, Peter Crouch praised Harrison for his perseverance in the face of adversity. According to Peter Crouch, he kept on trying to make something happen for his team.

Harrison was formerly on the payroll at Manchester City before he spent three years on loan at Leeds United. He was part of the Leeds United team that sealed promotion to the Premier League ahead of the start of last season.

Leeds United winger Harrison was powerless to stop Manchester City from running riot against his team. Manchester City scored three goals and four goals in the first half and second half respectively on the way to an emphatic victory at the expense of the Whites.

Manchester City needed to beat Leeds United to open a four-point lead over Liverpool at the top of the Premier League standings and they did just that. While extending their lead at the Premier League summit, the Citizens also avenged the home defeat suffered against Leeds United last season. Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas netted twice with a goal in each half as Leeds United sealed a 2-1 win over the Citizens with ten men.

For their latest meeting, Kevin De Bruyne (brace), Nathan Ake, John Stones, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish all scored in the rout.
