Even at the age of 36, Peter Crouch still manages to get regular playing time in the Premier League which is a surprising and impressive for any performer and this is a player who has enjoyed going through top clubs including: Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Southampton just to name a few of the more renowned clubs that Peter Crouch has joined.
In every single one of those previously mentioned clubs, Crouch has managed to scored goals and it has helped the Englishman in reaching his milestone of having found the back of the net on 100 different occasions in Premier League games.
Only 26 players have been able to reach this feat and Peter Crouch carved his named as one of those players on February 1st of 2017 when he helped his team Stoke City secure 1 point against Everton in a match that resulted in a 1-1 draw.
“There are some fantastic players in that 100 club, so to be among them is great for me. The minute it went in, it’s a great feeling. I’ve had a few messages, lots of friends and family absolutely buzzing for me. It’s quite emotional and nice to get in there because there are a lot of players that I look up to. There have been some great goals along the way and also some scrappy ones, but we’ll take them.” Stoke City’s Peter Crouch said as he talked about his recent historic accomplishment.
Reaching the 100 goal mark in the Premier League has arrived at a crucial moment for Peter Crouch as the English attacker was not too long ago going through a difficult period of time in Stoke City with a large part of his time being spent on the sidelines as a substitute player with a very limited amount of time on the actual pitch.
Things began to change at the beginning of 2017 as Crouch started off getting consistent time in the first team and after reaching his 100 goal mark, he has turned into a much more influential player for Stoke City and the veteran forward recently even opted to have his contract extended until the summer of 2018.
